Import Export Utility

The IntelliTrack Import-Export Utility allows you to:
- Import data from an external source file into your IntelliTrack application.
- Export IntelliTrack data to an external file.
- A typical import or export file (i.e., external data) is either a tabbed file (.txt) or a comma file (.csv).
- Import specifications are created from an import template.
- Export specifications are created from an export template.
- Using this utility will save a significant amount of time spent manually entering your data.
The Import-Export Utility is a separate Windows application.
The main screen contains the following elements:
- Ribbon: the ribbon includes options for creating a new import or export specification, opening the External Data window, and opening the error log.
- Panes: the main window contains tabs along the left for viewing the templates and specifications and a field selection area to the right.
- Templates: templates are provided for designing import specifications and export specifications. View the templates via the Import Templates and Export Templates folder tabs.
- External Data button in the ribbon: click this button to view an external data window that lists the external data available for your imports and exports.
- Import Specifications: reach your import specifications via the My Imports folder tab.
- Export Specifications: reach your export specifications via the My Exports folder tab.
